Let the juice fast begin..

Soon enough it will atleast. I just ordered my juicer which should arrive on Tuesday and shortly after I receive it I plan on doing a juice fast! For how long, I'm not sure. I'm aiming for a good 10 days, and maybe longer if I can stand it. I definitely don't have the cravings/hunger I used to constantly have, so I'm thinking this isn't going to be as tough as it would had I tried it 3 months ago. I'm not sure what combinations I'm going to create yet, but I ordered a book to help guide me along. Though I have not lost as much weight in numbers as I'd like to have by now, my clothes are definitely fitting better! I am seeing results in other ways than on the scale, so I still feel good about everything. I just ordered a plane ticket for a trip back home and I'm excited about that! Hoping to look even smaller by then so my family will begin to feel the competition heating up! Anyways, almost time to get some rest for the night!!

Root canal consequenses

I awoke with a swollen cheek and ended up at the endodontist today. i am sure this will be a weight loss to have my tooth hollowed out and replaced with whatever they do. at least it will squelch my appetite for a moment. it has delayed the beginning of my 30 day challenge idea about bike riding. now i need to be careful for a week so i am thinking of another challenge idea.

Monday! The incredible journey continues..

If only it were as easy to shed pounds as it is to gain them. How many times has this been spoken?? Maybe a million? Well on the same train of thought, it's so much easier to eat fat, calorie laden food than it is to make healthier choices. Unhealthy eating requires absolutely no thought--see it-want it? go ahead eat it!! A healthy lifestyle requires forethought. What will I eat? What is the best way to prepare it? How can I make it most healthy? I get SICK of thinking about food ALL THE TIME! I think this has a lot to do with the fact I cook for a living and often, but not always, cook at home! I can feel food obsessed. However, the reward of a healthy lifestyle has resulted in some weight loss. I simply feel better and have more energy-even in the sweltering heat of summer in the kitchen all day! Amazingly,I don't crave fatty or sweet food either. Tonight's menu includes whole wheat pasta, chicken and broccoli! Bill is the chef tonight--so for now I am not thinking about food-just waiting to EAT some!!

okay i am back to where i was pre 4th of July! finally! next week i try a new 30 day challenge that will keep this moving forward. it's late Friday night and time to find sleep but i wanted you to know that Hannah had a good week. she is doing very well and i am proud of her. many changes for her and food is a big one. more next week.
